Four boys from Koonung Comets played in an undefeted representative team. They all played for Koonung Comets u12-1 team each Saturday and were members of Bulleen u12-1 Championship team on Friday nights.
The Bulleen u12-1 team completed an undefeated season of the Victorian Championship in 2009 including winning the Grand Final over the Vikings.

Congratulations to former Koonung comets player Lauren Jeffers who made her debut in the WNBL championship season on 10th October. Lauren is representing the Bulleen Boomers who came runners up in the WNBL championship season in 2008/09 and are currently undefeated in the 2009/10 season after five matches. Lauren began her basketball career at Koonung at a young age before developing her skills at representative level for Nunawading Spectres and Melbourne Tigers. In 2009 she competed in the Bulleen Boomers’ Big V Championship women’s team before being selected as part of the WNBL team.

The Club is running a learn-to-score session to help parents in the correct ways of compiling the scoresheet, using the score board and running the time clock. Come along and learn in a hands-on non-pressured environment.
The session will be held at Koonung from 7:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday the 27th of October.
It is a good idea for anyone who may be required to score or who feels that they need some assistance in this area.
It is also important for our Club that scorers know the correct methods as the we get fined by the EDJBA if we are responsible for any incorrectly completed scoresheets.
